However, the hotel failed to maintain pest control records and related documents. Inspectors immediately discarded about 6 kg of suji after finding it infested with storage pests. Food handlers had received proper training, but officials noticed open dustbins inside the premises. The Food Safety Department issued an improvement notice and awarded the hotel a hygiene rating of 95%. <h3>Several hygiene violations found at Royal Bawarchi</h3> At M/s R. Royal Bawarchi in <a href="https://x.com/MCMalkajgiri/status/2075593473085128745?s=20">Ghatkesar</a>, inspectors found the food licence displayed but identified several hygiene issues. The kitchen and storage areas were unclean, while the management failed to maintain medical fitness certificates for staff and pest control records. Officials also found greasy and slippery floors, poorly maintained freezers, housefly infestation, dirty walls, poor ventilation in the kitchen and store room, and improper waste bins. Food handlers had not received training, and the kitchen used iron knives instead of stainless steel ones. Inspectors also discarded a large quantity of food colours. The department issued an improvement notice and gave the restaurant a hygiene rating of <strong>75%</strong>. <h3>Dhaba receives notice over expired food, poor hygiene</h3> At M/s Akshith's Tandoori Fusion Dhaba in Ghatkesar, officials found that the food licence was not displayed prominently. Inspectors also discovered expired sauces in the store room. They noticed grease and dust on the exhaust fan, kitchen walls and roof. The management did not maintain medical fitness certificates for staff or pest control records. Officials also found greasy floors, unhygienic freezers and poor ventilation in the kitchen and storage area. They discarded cooked meat, improperly stored food items and food colours found during the inspection. The Food Safety Department issued an improvement notice directing the dhaba to fix all deficiencies and comply with food safety standards.
